CMA CGM boss sees slight signs of shipping slowdown in recent weeks - Les Echos
PARIS, Sept 23 (Reuters) -French shipper CMA CGM expects to see a good full-year of 2024 but recent weeks were marked by a slight slowdown in shipping activity, the company's chief executive, Rodolphe Saade, told business paper Les Echos on an interview published on Monday.
Saade in the interview also said France's shipping tax regime, which currently significantly favours shipping companies compared to other business sectors, should be left unchanged despite the government's urgent need to bring public finances in balance.
