HOUSTON, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Constructioncontractor Kiewit on Thursday said it has settled a lawsuit with LNG developer Venture Global LNG over disclosures to Shell SHEL.L of information on the Calcasieu Pass LNG plant, the president of Kiewit Energy said.

Venture Global on August 2 filed for arbitration against Kiewit alleging it passed confidential documents to Shell in a dispute over the Louisiana LNG facility's commercial production status.

"There is no ongoing litigation, the matter has been resolved," said Kiewit Energy President Tom Shelby on the sidelines of the Gastech energy conference.

Venture Global LNG and several long-term contract customers are in contract arbitration over a failure to supply cargoes from the plant. Shell, BP PLC BP.L, Repsol REP.MC, Galp GALP.LS and Orlen PKN.WA have contested their lack of access to cargoes more than years after the plant first started producing and exporting LNG.

Venture Global was not immediately available for comment.

"Kiewit was entrusted with this information to enable its work to construct a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana developed by Venture Global," Venture Global had said in a New York State Supreme Court filing.

The contractor shared confidential information included proprietary project development, design, configuration methods on the multi-billion-dollar facility's design and construction, it alleged.

Shelby declined to say if the Louisiana plant was now working properly, calling it a question for Venture Global.
