UPM KAUKAS AND UPM KYMI PULP MILLS IN FINLAND WILL ADJUST THEIR PRODUCTION TEMPORARILY TO MEET MARKET CONDITIONS
SHUTDOWN OF KAUKAS PULP MILL WILL START ON 9 SEPTEMBER AND SHUTDOWN OF KYMI PULP MILL ON 23 SEPTEMBER
SHUTDOWNS ARE ESTIMATED TO LAST FOR THREE WEEKS
MAINTENANCE WORK WILL BE CARRIED OUT DURING PART OF SHUTDOWN PERIOD, BUT TEMPORARY LAYOFFS ARE POSSIBLE
UPM'S PULP MILLS IN PIETARSAARI AND IN URUGUAY WILL CONTINUE TO RUN AT FULL CAPACITY
