Sept 10 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Tuesday, with futures down 0.5%.


* ABRDN: Asset manager Abrdn ABDN.L named interim boss Jason Windsor as its new chief executive officer on Tuesday, formally handing the ex-Aviva AV.L executive the task of rebooting its finances and performance.

* SCHRODERS: British fund manager Schroders SDR.L has named insider Richard Oldfield as its new chief executive to succeed Peter Harrison in November, it said on Tuesday.

* CENTAMIN: Global miner AngloGold Ashanti AU.N will buy Egypt-focused smaller rival Centamin CEY.L in a $2.5 billion deal, the companies said on Tuesday.

* IQE: British semiconductor wafer maker IQE IQE.L swung to a profit in the first half on Tuesday, supported by a combination of revenue expansion and cost-control measures.

* IWG: Britain's IWG's IWG.L shareholder Buckley Capital Management has urged the office rental firm to consider moving its listing on the U.S. stock exchange in order to boost shareholder value, the latter said on Tuesday.

* PAY: British pay growth cooled in the three months to July to a more than two-year low and employment shot higher, according to data on Tuesday which likely keeps the Bank of England on track to cut interest rates again before the end of the year.

* SERICA: Oil and gas company Serica Energy SQZ.L posted lower profit for the first half of 2024 on Tuesday, hit by a tax charge of $106 million.

* ASTRAZENECA: Detailed results from one of AstraZeneca's AZN.L key lung cancer trials released on Monday showed that its experimental precision drug did not significantly improve overall survival results for patients in the trial.
