US Cash Grains-Corn, soy basis mostly steady to higher
Nov 7 (Reuters) -Basis bids for corn and soybeans were mostly flat to up at processors and elevators around the U.S. Midwest on Thursday as the harvest was almost finished and buyers looked to attract final farmer sales.
* A crush plant in Lafayette, Indiana, raised its basis bids for soybeans by 5 cents.
* A grain elevator in Blair, Nebraska, raised its basis bids for corn by 5 cents and another in Council Bluffs, Iowa raised its corn basis bids by 7 cents.
* On the CBOT, most-active December corn CZ24 ended 1-1/4 cents higher at $4.27-1/2 per bushel, reaching its highest price since Oct. 3. CBOT January soybeans SF25 advanced 22-1/2 cents to finish at $10.26-1/4 per bushel, setting its highest price since Oct. 11.
