LONDON, Nov 5 (Reuters) -Raw sugar futures fell on Tuesday, weighed down by an improving outlook from the next sugarcane harvest in Brazil following recent rains, while cocoa prices were also lower.

SUGAR

* March raw sugar SBc1 fell 0.4% to 21.84 cents per lb by 1208 GMT.

* Dealers said there had been good rainfall in Centre-South Brazil, the most important region for sugarcane, which should improve the outlook for the next crop.

* Brazilian millers believe sugar prices need to rise and stay high for a longer period to allow for investments in new plants.

* December white sugar LSUc1 rose 0.1% to $556.10 a metric ton.

COCOA

* March London cocoa LCCc2 fell 1.2% to 5,342 pounds a ton, slipping back from the prior session's 2-1/2 month high of 5,500 pounds.

* Dealers said the market had derived support from the slow pace of selling by farmers in Ghana although in top grower Ivory Coast, port arrivals are running well above year earlier levels.

* March New York cocoa CCc2 was 1.2% lower at $6,888 a ton.

COFFEE

* December arabica coffee KCc1 was up 0.85% at $2.4805 per lb, extending the market's rebound from a two-month low of $2.4130 set on Friday.

* Dealers said a slowdown in selling by Brazilian producers following the recent decline in prices had helped the market to regain some ground.

* Rains in Brazil have, however, aided coffee tree flowering and improved the outlook for next year's crop.

* January robusta coffee LRCc2 rose 0.6% to $4,345 a ton.
