ANKARA, Nov 6 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Wednesday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 34.3550 against the U.S. dollar at 0425 GMT, after closing on Tuesday at 34.3420.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 0.52% lower at 8,618.57 points on Tuesday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
U.S. stock futures and the dollar surged in Asia on Wednesday as investors wagered Republican Donald Trump could win the U.S. presidential election, though officially the race remained too close to call.
ERDOGAN
President Tayyip Erdogan will attend a summit of the Organisation of Turkic States in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek (0700 GMT).
TRANSPORT MINISTER
Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu will attend an event on cyber security (1130 GMT).
BUDGET
Parliament's planning and budget commission will debate agriculture ministry's 2025 budget (0700 GMT).
OPPOSITION
Main opposition CHP leader Ozgur Ozel will attend a gathering in central province of Eskisehir (0700 GMT), opposition IYI party (0730 GMT) and Felicity Party (0630 GMT) will hold weekly parliamentary group meetings.
