Oct 22 -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Tuesday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.2%.


* HSBC: HSBC Holdings HSBA.L named insider Pam Kaur as its first female finance chief, replacing Georges Elhedery who became CEO earlier this year, and said it would streamline the bank into four business units.

* IDS: Parcel services firm GLS, the international sister business to the UK's Royal Mail, has agreed to buy a 20% stake in Greece's ACS for 74 million euros, their parent International Distribution Services IDSI.L said.

* OIL: Oil prices fell, paring the previous day's nearly 2% rise as the top U.S. diplomat renewed efforts to push for a ceasefire in the Middle East, and as slow demand in China, the world's top oil importer, continued to weigh on the market.

* METALS: London copper prices ticked higher as hopes about further stimulus measures and demand recovery in top consumer China countered pressure from a firmer U.S. dollar.

** FTSE: UK's benchmark index .ftse ended Monday's trade down 0.5%.
