We are happy to announce our cooperation with “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center to support their humanitarian efforts in protecting the rights of children.

In February 2021, as the first in a series of joint actions, we made a financial contribution towards the technological upgrade of the 1466 Hope For Children (HFC) Helpline telephone system.

Since its establishment during the first Covid-19 lockdown in Cyprus in March 2020, the 1466 Helpline receives and manages hundreds of calls for child protection issues. It is one of the most frequently used ways of communication with children and parents.

Upgrading the telephone system of the line will allow for more efficient response to the rising number of calls and the organization will be able to offer services to more children and parents in need.

Mr. Tasos Anastasiou, the CEO of XM, stressed the need for acts of social contribution from the corporate world, especially when it concerns the needs of children, and stated that upgrading the 1466 helpline marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration with HFC.

Mr Joseph Borghese, the Director-General of HFC, expressed his gratitude, joy, and satisfaction to XM and said that by strengthening the helpline, the specialized staff of the organization will be able to attend to more children.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to helping people in need and to supporting the creation of equal opportunities for the less fortunate around the world.
